Showing up starts with listening.
Why we exist
Mwijaku Foundation began with a simple realisation: attention, used responsibly, can become action.
We are building a structure that can respond beyond a single campaign—meeting people where the need actually is, working with credible partners, and reporting honestly on what was delivered and what changed.
Our work
Hardship rarely arrives one issue at a time. Our response should not either.
01
Screening, referral, and treatment-related assistance guided by clinical oversight and dignity.
02
Construction, repair, and essential household support for families facing hardship.
03
School materials, education assistance, mentorship, and skills development for children.
04
Basic-needs assistance, outreach, inclusion, dignity, and social support.
How we work
01
A need is referred by a hospital, school, local authority, or community leader.
02
We establish what is needed, what can be supported, and who is best placed to help.
03
Resources and the right partners come together around a practical response.
04
We share what was delivered and what changed, without compromising dignity.
From the field
People are never content before they are people. We protect privacy, seek consent, and share only what helps the public understand the work.
“We work with communities, not around them.”
